Measure & source
Why percentages, not family counts?
The atlas reports the share of households in each income band. It does not provide the corresponding household totals. Combining these shares with a later census would create estimates across different years.
A threshold of 50,000 describes the published income distribution. It is not an official poverty line or a measure of today's purchasing power. Urban and rural shares are shown separately; no unweighted district total is presented as a household share.

The Urban Unit's Punjab District Socio-Economic Atlas, transcribed to a reviewed Excel workbook. Source years vary by indicator. The workbook includes the full dictionary, source page references and 124 source-quality flags.
The map uses the atlas's 36 district names and Saaradata's existing PSI district polygons. Later district splits are not represented. Geography and source inconsistencies should be checked before operational targeting.
